Reptile Keeping
Reptile keeping is a two day course which brings to you various aspects of Reptile Keeping from Basic Taxonomy to Cage Design and housing Techniques, from handling to UVB,from breeding Boas and Pythons to keeping Chameleons. Aimed at keepers and those who work and want to work with Reptiles. It will open your mind to new ways of Reptile Keeping.
Venomous Snake Keeping
For those who want to keep or work with Venomous Snakes this course will give you the foundation your looking for.With a vast array of species to work and learn with as well as experienced handlers who can guide and teach you safe methods of keeping and handling as well as cage maintenance. This course will aid you in your DWAL application.
Crocodile Keeping
You want a Croc or Caiman but dont know what to do or how to go about it, this course will help in your handling and keeping techniques as well as going through the DWAL application. Most councils look positvely on a person who has gone and got training for a DWA species. You will also learn how these Reptiles are great to work with.
About Us
As a Reptile Centre with long experience of Reptiles we believe that education is the only way forward and for people to be given facts and information which will aid there Reptile keeping as well as helping with their access to jobs and careers in Reptiles.
The courses are design to be fun and informative and completed in a way which allows people to ask questions in an informal setting. Time is taken for your individual needs and requirements.

Reptile Keeping - Linda Gould
Linda Gold, Filton Vet 4 Pets - As reptiles become more popular as pets we see them more often at Filton Vets4Pets. I attended the course at Reptile Zone to improve my reptile knowledge and therefore provide a better level of care and advice for our clients and patients.
Pete provided an an excallent basic understanding of a range of reptiles, how to house, handle and care for them and how to recognise and prevent common illnesses. He also helped us understand how researching the origin of any reptile can allow us to work out how to provide the best care from them.
The course included a practical session in which we learnt how to handle various animals in the shop.
The course was an excallent standard, informative and a lot of fun. Deffinatley worth doing for anyone who wants to care for reptiles
